Apple Announces WWDC 2026 Dates and Teases AI Upgrades
March 23, 2026
Read Original: MacRumorsApple today announced that its 37th annual Worldwide Developers Conference will run from Monday, June 8 to Friday, June 12, 2026. The keynote takes place on June 8 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. The event will be primarily online and free for all developers, with an in-person component at Apple Park for select developers and students.
In the WWDC 2026 announcement, Apple offered an explicit mention of "AI advancements" as part of the conference focus, alongside software updates and developer tools. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman previously reported that iOS 27 should focus on polish, performance improvements, and new AI features, with a significantly overhauled Siri as the main attraction. Apple has been working with Google to use Gemini models as the foundation for its next generation of Apple Intelligence features.
This year's software lineup is expected to include iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. Apple also released iOS 26.4 this week, bringing eight new emoji, Safari improvements on Mac, and a Genius Browse feature for Apple TV, though it does not yet include the new Siri capabilities that many users have been waiting for.
For developers and businesses building on Apple platforms, WWDC is the point where the year's biggest platform changes are revealed. If the Gemini-powered Siri rolls out with iOS 27 in September, it will change how millions of users interact with apps, search, and daily tasks on iPhone. That shift matters for anyone building products or content designed for Apple users.
Developers interested in attending at Apple Park can apply through the Apple Developer app, with the selection deadline on March 30.
